AWC's Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Election of Officers will be held at the Hotel Sofitel SO Bangkok on Tuesday, November 13th.
Come and join us for an early Thanksgiving lunch. Our guest speaker, Joe Cummings, 
first came to Thailand in 1977 and two years later began researching Southeast Asian art history for a master's degree at the University of Berkeley in California. He came back in 1981 as one of The Lonely Planet's first guide book authors. Joe will be speaking to us about his latest book, The Sacred Tattoos of Thailand. The book explores the fascinating centuries old tradition of sak yan tattoos, tracing the spiritual art form from Thailand to its roots in Cambodia and India. Thailand & Indochina Traveller describes Joe as "Perhaps the hardest working, best known, and most successful guidebook writer in the world."
