Join us to learn about traditional Thai medicine at Baan Mowaan Bamrungchat, the ancestral home of Khun Phasinee Yanatol.

It is not easy to maintain the legacy of a successful relative, especially when the ancestor in question is as famous as Mo (Dr) Waan Rodmuang, the Thai traditional doctor whose herbal remedies were among the most popular forms of treatment during the reign of King Chulalongkorn.

Our host, Mowaan’s great granddaughter, Khun Phasinee is determined to keep the family tradition alive and continues to offer his original Thai herbal preparations from the residence he built back in 1924. She has also renovated the beautiful house that served as a clinic and turned part of it into a shop and museum to showcase old-fashioned pharmaceutical tools and rare herbs. Her main objective is to preserve her ancestor’s heritage and make the new generation realize the value of ancient wisdom.
