For those of you who have not tried belly dancing before, it is a must. All the movements in belly dancing involve isolating different part of the body (hips, shoulders, chest and stomach, etc). In most belly-dance styles the focus is on the hip and pelvic ares.
Belly dancing is a non-impact weight bearing exercise and is suitable for all ages. Many of the moves involve isolation, which improves flexibility of the torso. You will learn basic movements during 90 minutes.
Dhyana Yoga Studio has recently opened in a unit opposite the AWC Clubhouse and offers many other classes as well. Dress is sportswear or loose clothing and bare feet.
