AWC COVID-19 Relief Drive for Khlong Toei

Can You Help?

The Duang Prateep Foundation staff and volunteers are delivering weekly survival kits to the many families of the Khlong Toei slum impacted by the current COVID-19 outbreak. It is critical that people isolate at home once a family member is tested positive. And because most people in the Khlong Toei slum are day wage earners, they face a range of difficulties when they aren’t able to earn.

They are in urgent need of dry goods such as:

• Family-size rice bags (2kg), soy sauce and fish sauce (500mls), instant noodles, canned fish, cooking oil (1 liter)
• Healthy juice and snacks for children
• Detergent, rubber gloves, red hazardous rubbish bags
• Hand soap, toothpaste
• Other dry goods that you think might be useful or may already have at home

They already have a donation of masks. Fresh food is being cooked and delivered.
 
AWC is encouraging you to contribute to this initiative. Judy Mullins is kindly coordinating the deliveries.
